This song is about 2 boys I met while I was traveling trough Brazil. I was on a party and I got in a conversation with them. They we're both gay but not dating each other. They said they were best friends and lived together. One had a boyfriend that lived far away and he said it was an open relationship because of it.

After some drinks and time the one with the boyfriend started to kiss a random stranger. Then the other one came to me and said he wanted to kiss someone to, to distract. It was because he was jealous.

My guess; one felt more then friendship feelings for the other one
and so I came to the song.

The moment you want to keep a friendship altho someone is feeling something for you. You don't the friendship to change.
